Dieter Oberg has been leading the Olive Oil Information Association for 35 years, and founded and led the German Olive Oil Panel (DOP) for almost 20 years, which operates according to globally valid sensory test standards.

He worked as a contractor for olive oil matters for the European Commission for 15 years. Many institutes and media such as TV channels, Stiftung Warentest, Ökotest, International Olive Council, olive oil producers and marketers have used and continue to use his extensive knowledge.

To this day, he is a sought-after juror in many olive oil competitions such as PremioBiol or Berlin Global Olive Oil Award.

There are very few experts in Germany as competent as him when it comes to olive oil.
